In this post-Booker era, many federal and state judges may rely on community corrections programs and services to absorb a larger portion of the corrections population. By encouraging employment, community involvement, restitution, education, and a supervised environment, community corrections can offer a more well-rounded, client-focused curriculum for offenders than incarceration.
